My resume is enclosed for your consideration.   I am interested in Special Education teaching opportunities with your district.  My credentials include a Master’s Degree in Special Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a California Teaching Certification (Special Education Credential), and two years of direct instructional experience in a self-contained Non-categorical Special Education Class. 

 

My resume will emphasize my commitment to students, illustrate my competence and proficiency in diversifying instruction, and testify to my communication and leadership skills.  Being a highly resilient and adaptable  SpEducator, I have relished in the opportunity to instill knowledge to a diverse group of students in a self-contained Non-Categorical Special Day Class (NC SDC) setting.  Student disabilities in my class include autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, speech impairments, hearing impairments, noncompliant behavior, learning disabilities and physical challenges.  The experiences of working with such a diverse group of students has helped me progress into a well-rounded and compassionate educator who has mastered the art of assessment driven instruction and scaffolding while taking each student's goals, needs and interests into account.  

 

My greatest capabilities are facilitating all styles of learners and managing caseloads with ease and punctuality.  I develop universally designed lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners, while incorporating various forms of technology, learning centers, manipulatives and group work to teach new concepts and materials.  I also ensure that each student receives individualized instruction, praise, and encouragement per his/her IEP.  Furthermore, I diligently take on and manage my caseloads with prioritization and organization while conducting myself with ease, grace and punctuality.
