My instruction is assessment driven. Being a Special Educator, I do not rely on a schedule to tell me when it is time to move on, instead I rely on student data. I give a pre-test and a post-test for every lesson. If student data proves that students have not mastered the content, I re-teach the content. Assessments are not only paper based in my class, they are also observation based per IEP goals. Some assessments that I have given my students are:
